4hr trip Cuckmere Haven to Alfriston
The river and it’s surrounding area is home to some truly spectacular scenery including the dramatic chalk cliffs of the Seven Sisters, which is also very popular amongst walkers. Just upstream from here we will be taking a small tidal river that cuts through one of the most beautiful valleys in the South Downs! As the river meanders through Cuckmere Valley you’ll be passing through quaintly picturesque villages and witnessing stunning views of the South Downs including the sights of the White Horse of Litlington, a chalk silhouette that dominates the east bank of the valley. There is also plenty of wildlife to be spotted as you explore the river…you may even be lucky and spot an otter or a mink!
The trip will be adapted to meet the ability of the group, no matter how much experience you have we can cater for complete beginners to expert paddlers. If you have any reservations about getting out on the water our highly qualified instructors will assist you and give you confidence throughout the trip.
